By accessing or using Parqet's APIs, SDKs, developer tools, or other developer-facing products (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to these Developer Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms form a binding legal agreement between Parqet GmbH ("Parqet", "we", "us") and the individual or entity accessing the Service ("Developer", "you"). The Service may include multiple products (e.g. Parqet Connect); product-specific terms appear under the relevant product heading. Where a section does not name a product, it applies to all Parqet developer products.
Terms applicable to all developer products
1. Developer Obligations & Restrictions
To maintain the integrity and security of the Parqet ecosystem, you agree not to:
- Data Misuse: Sell, rent, or lease any data obtained through the Service to third parties.
- Competing Services: Use the Service to scrape data or build a competing portfolio tracking or financial analytics service.
- Paid Feature Circumvention: Create integrations that are specifically designed to replicate or offer for free functionality that Parqet itself offers as a paid feature (for example, Parqet X-Ray).
- System Integrity: Circumvent any security measures, rate limits, or authentication protocols.
- Branding: Use the Parqet brand, logo, or trademarks in a way that implies a formal partnership, endorsement, or "official" status without prior written consent.
- AI Ethics: If using Parqet data to power AI agents or LLMs, you must ensure that your implementation does not provide misleading financial advice or manipulate financial data.
2. User Privacy and Data Security
- User Consent & Authorization: Where Parqet provides an authorization flow (e.g. OAuth 2) for a product, API access is only granted after the user authorizes your integration. You must not circumvent this flow or attempt to access user data without going through the official process.
- Data Minimization: You shall only request the scopes and data points strictly necessary for the functionality of your integration.
- Security Standards: You must maintain industry-standard security measures (including encryption) to protect user data and Parqet credentials.
- Compliance: As Parqet is based in the EU, you must comply with all applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR (DSGVO).
3. Termination
Parqet reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or pose a security risk to the Parqet ecosystem or its users.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Parqet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Service. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
5. Modifications
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Your continued use of any Parqet developer product after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

Parqet Connect
The following terms apply in addition to the general terms above when you use Parqet Connect (APIs, SDKs, MCP servers, and related tools).
1. Purpose
Parqet Connect enables developers to build integrations that visualize, analyze, or sync financial portfolio data within the Parqet ecosystem or via third-party AI models (e.g., via the Model Context Protocol - MCP).
2. Grant of License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Parqet grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use Parqet Connect solely to:
- Develop, test, and maintain integrations or applications ("Integrations").
- Access user-authorized data via Parqet's secure authentication flow.
3. Financial Data Disclaimer
- No Financial Advice: Data provided through Parqet Connect is for informational purposes only. It does not constitute financial, investment, or legal advice.
- Accuracy: While Parqet strives for maximum data quality, we do not guarantee the 100% completeness or correctness of third-party data provided through the API.
4. Quotas and Commercial Use
- Rate Limits: Parqet may impose rate limits to ensure system stability.
- Commercial Tiers: We reserve the right to charge fees for high-volume usage or specific commercial use cases. Separate enterprise agreements are required for institutional partners (e.g., Banks, Brokers).
